Youth Connections Bridge has to convince two people with one website: a seventeen-year-old deciding whether to get on a plane, and a National Agency deciding whether to fund the flight. Each concept below leads with a different one of them. The eight brand colours are identical in all six — what changes is which colour carries the weight, what the typography sounds like, and what the page is structurally built around.
Held as a system-wide guideline, not a per-page quota. Each concept below shows its own weighting — averaged across a real site, concepts 1, 2, 4 and 6 land close to the target; 3 and 5 deliberately over-index on forest and Pine and would be balanced by lighter inner pages.
The website behaves like a travel document. Every project is a departure city, an arrival city, a set of dates and a deadline — set in monospace, because that is genuinely what a mobility opportunity is.
“Rivers Without Borders” — eight days on water, waste and what a town does with both.

Takes the palette at its word. Open Meadow, Growing Together, Rooted Green, Bridge Forest, Pine — the colours are already a forest, so this concept builds the whole system out of growth: soft edges, drawn line-work, generous air.
We run Erasmus+ exchanges for 16–25 year-olds from Czech towns the programme usually never reaches. No cost, no experience needed, no perfect English required.
We handle the paperwork, the flights, the insurance — and the phone call to your parents.
Eight days living, cooking and arguing with thirty people from five countries.
You come home with a Youthpass certificate and something worth saying in an interview.

A bridge is a piece of engineering, so this concept draws one. The geometry is the Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam — one asymmetric mast, cables fanning out to a long deck — used as the site's organising diagram: one anchor country, fourteen spans.
Accredited under Erasmus+ Youth since 2016. Forty-one partner organisations across fourteen programme countries, one anchor.

Built out of what actually comes home from an exchange: photographs, half-finished sentences, five languages in one room. A zine rather than a brochure — the organisation recedes and the participants do the talking.
Porto, day three — the group cooking dinner for thirty
I had never been on a plane. By day three I was arguing about compost, in English, with a girl from Vilnius.
We couldn’t agree on anything except the food.
I came back and started a club at my school. Nine people now.
My Czech is still terrible. We text every week anyway.

Not a homepage — a board. Everything YCB publishes has a deadline attached, so the site opens as a live list of open calls on a Pine ground, sorted by how soon you lose your chance. The only concept that is dark by design.
Sorted by deadline. Everything listed is fully funded — travel, accommodation and food.

The reference direction, translated into the locked palette. Behaves like a modern consumer product page: one promise in heavy caps, two buttons, one card — and a dashed route that physically pulls your eye from the headline down to the first open call.
Free week-long exchanges across Europe. Travel reimbursed, food covered, rights taken seriously. Pack a bag.

| Concept | Feels like | Dominant colour | Type pairing | Speaks to | Build | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Route Card | A well-designed travel document | Open Meadow + Pine | Avenir Next + Menlo | The applicant | Medium |
| 02 | Rooted | A community garden with good signage | Growing Together | Iowan Old Style + Optima | Parents, schools, first-timers | Low |
| 03 | Span | An engineering firm that likes young people | Bridge Forest | Avenir Next Condensed + Futura | Funders, agencies, partners | Medium |
| 04 | Voices | A zine printed after the trip | Meadow + Cultural Plum | Didot + Gill Sans | Alumni and peers | High · editorial |
| 05 | Departures | A departures board you check weekly | Pine | Helvetica Neue + Menlo | Repeat users, youth workers | Medium · needs live data |
| 06 | Waypoint | A confident modern product page | Meadow shade + Pine | SF Pro alone, four weights | Undecided first-time visitors | Low |
Concept 01 is the only one that solves the organisation’s actual problem: mobility opportunities are opaque, and a young person cannot compare four of them without help. It is also the most ownable — nothing in European youth work currently looks like a well-designed transit document.
But Concept 06 is right about the thing 01 gets wrong. A first-time visitor needs one promise and one obvious button before they meet a grid of fields. The two are genuinely compatible: same Pine-on-Meadow ground, same flush-left structure, same card logic. So take 06 above the fold and 01 the moment a real opportunity appears.
The rest composes from there. Departures is 01’s monospaced logic in dark, so it drops in as the opportunities index rather than competing as a separate identity. Voices supplies the warmth neither 01 nor 06 can generate structurally.
Ground in concepts 01, 02 and 04, the card in 06, the light strip in 03. No #FFFFFF anywhere in the six.
Used as the card band in 02 and as status pills and secondary text on dark in 05 — always with Pine or Bridge Forest on top.
Rooted Green appears only as line-work, icon fills and italic supporting text. The one icon circle carrying a glyph uses a 1.8px stroke, not type.
Primary buttons in 02, the full ground in 03, the recommendation slab on this page.
All six. In 05 it also becomes the ground with Open Meadow inverted on top; in 06 it draws every border and the hard shadow.
Restricted to one action per view — apply, download the partner pack, read all stories. Never a decorative field. On Pine it steps to a documented tint, #8CB0F4, to hold contrast.
Every yellow surface — the places-left stamp, the taped caption, the Closing pill — carries Pine, never white.
Absent from five concepts. In 04 it is the quote mark, the cultural-exchange tag and one half of a duotone — roughly 2% of pixels, 100% of the accent's meaning.
